Braves win in a classic game 7![]() ![]() |
The
Atlanta Braves are your new RABL World Champions and the party in the
streets of Atlanta has officially kicked into high gear. This was
a great series that saw Fred and his Twins claw their way back from a
3-1 series deficit. The Twins took game 5 with their backs
against the wall. Then trailing 3-0 in the top of the 9th of game
6, a 4 run 9th highlighted by a 2 run go ahead triple by Maikel Franco
forced a 7th game in Atlanta. The Twins staked ace Max Scherzer
to a 4-0 lead only to watch the Braves hit a pair of 3 run homers, a PH
bomb by Gregory Polanco in the 4th and the eventual game winning pinch
hit shot by Ryan Goins in the 7th. Nothing
was easy on either side throughout. There were a lot of shaky
fielding plays, some bad base running and some missed chances from both
squads, but in the end the Braves were able to score 1 more run in the
deciding game to claim the victory. Congrats to Fred Falzone for a great season and a great postseason run. His
team battled to the end and came within a few bounces of taking home
the title. |
